My Great Uncle of Eastatoe, Pickens, SC, son of ASEL & CLARINDA REEVES was killed at Rappahannock and his military records show the following:

Name: A. (Asell) T. Reaves
Rank: Pvt.
Company: F
Unit/Regiment: 22 South Carolina Infantry
Enlisted at: Camp Hampton, Columbia, SC January 18, 1862
Killed: Rappahannock, VA, August 23, 1862
Remarks: Born in Pickens District, SC. Final pay claim filed by Asell Reeves, father.

Other than the above, there were two of his brothers from Pickens District serving in the Civil War:

Pvt. Hiram (H) Reeves 4 SC Calvary (Rutledges Regiment) and
3 (Palmetto) Battalion SC Light Artillery; and, Captain Bachman's Company (German Light Artillery)

Pvt. John H. (J.H.) Reeves Capt Bachman's Company (German Light Artillery)
and 4 SC Calvary (Rutledge's Regiment)

I am attempting to join Daughters of CW and located this information. I can find out nothing further about them except to place them on census records; but, would like to have them included in Pickens list of soldiers. They are not in the library in Pickens on any list - nor any place other than their military rosters that I know of. Not on pension rolls or elsewhere.

A.T. was single, no children.
Hiram was married to (1st) Emaline Youngblood, (2nd) Lydia Powell
John H. was shown as 'sick at hospital in Pickens District, SC as of October 20, 1864.

If you can shed any light on the lives of these men, I'd be more than grateful; and, if you know how they may be placed on the rolls for Pickens and for S.C., I'd be grateful.
